Teggs Nose Country Park

Introduction

Tegg's Nose is a Country Park owned by Cheshire East Borough Council. The site has recently come under the management of the Bollin Valley Partnership though the rangers that look after the site have remained the same. The site is situated on a hill top within attractive stonewalled hill farmland. The high vantage point gives fantastic views out over the Cheshire Plain and the Welsh hills beyond.

History

Tegg’s Nose was formally a quarry, operating from the 1500’s through to 1955. Some of the old machinery used to cut and crush rock that can still be seen.
