Volunteering

Bollin Valley Partnership welcomes inquiries from individuals or groups wanting to do voluntary work.

Individuals volunteering usually assist the ranger in their day-to-day tasks. The nature of the work is very much dependant on the season, weather and what requires doing at the time. Previous volunteers have included school work experience placements, retired people, those aiming to re enter employment after a period of illness, and local people wanting to contribute to maintaining an area that is important to them.

Volunteer day tasks are also included in our activities program and are open to all to come and try their hand at a new skill or to put something back into their local environment.

We have been able to provide tasks for corporate ‘green days’ for the Environment Agency, Manchester Airport and United Utilities. These days provide team building for organisations outside of their usual work environment and also allow both the employer and the employees to put something back into the local community at the same time.

Bollin Valley Partnership can sometimes take on placements from individuals pursuing a career in Countryside management and needing practical experience to further this goal.

Volunteer placement are limited in availability, please contact Bollin Valley partnership for more details.
